Merry Christmas to All...

Today was the busiest day I have had in a long time. My kids have finally reached the ages where Christmas is a really big deal, and the gifts mean more, and the relationships are deeper.

All that to say is they went to bed really late, they were up really early, and I have not seen them so excited about anything ever.

I am worn out. But seeing Christmas through their eyes is a gift that I treasure, and will remember for years to come.

This year has been super weird, and frustrating, yet I have been hopeful and optimistic as we near the end of 2020. Today was a reminder of that - a real example of how anticipation and excitement and focus on the next thing can be so freeing and curious!

As this day comes to a close, I am grateful that I have those two in my life. That they were entrusted to me and my husband’s care. That they teach me so many things every day, and they push me to be a better human.

This Christmas, that feeling filled me up and I can only say that I do believe that it only gets better from here.

So. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
